Recovery Maintenance

Strengthening recovery in the real world

At The Center for Connection, Healing, and Change, we offer continuing care and support throughout every stage of recovery. The Recovery Maintenance Group continues to offer structured support and builds on existing recovery success.  Family members are also encouraged to participate in this phase of addiction treatment.

This service is designed for men and women over the age of 18 who are looking to in continue their recovery process. Participants are in months 3 to 9 of recovery and have successfully completed an Intensive Outpatient Program. Group takes place Wednesdays 6:00 to 8:00pm and Saturdays 9:00 to 11:00am, allowing clients to continue to meet family, school, or employments obligations.

Loved ones are welcome to participate in the Family Recovery Therapy Group that meets on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30pm. The group offers continued support and focuses on the ongoing work of creating health and happiness from the inside-out. It challenges loved ones to remain dedicated to their personal growth, maintaining healthy boundaries and open communication. It also offers a deeper dive into the creation of meaningful and secure relationships.

Build on your recovery success

Ongoing care and support

The group focuses on supporting clients to practice and refine their relapse prevention skills across time, as life stressors and new challenges emerge.

Clients continue to work through unresolved emotions, deal with co-occurring issues, and acknowledge successes.

We also work on increasing self-worth and identity. This involves the exploration of motivations and life skills, and the identification of strengths and inner resources. We create powerful therapy experiences that are designed to help clients get to know themselves deeply and compassionately.

Improving relationships is also at the core of recovery success. We support clients to continue the work of improving their most important relationships. Meaningful communication, satisfying interactions, and expanded social support are integral to lasting recovery.

Support to address the deeper issues

Healing from the inside-out

As clients progress through our structured treatment programs, they identify the issues that underlie their addiction.

As recovery becomes more stable, many people choose to enter into individual, couple, or family therapy to further address further and resolve them.

Our staff team have a wide range of clinical specialisms and we take care to match you with a therapist who is a good fit for your needs. This allows us to coordinate your care with ease and ensure that your therapy sessions support your ongoing recovery.

Clients may also choose to focus on building a particular skill such as emotional regulation or anger management. We offer instruction in a variety emotional, physical, and spiritual health practices.
