Group Intensive Outpatient Program
In-depth support and a map for early recovery
Our Group Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for men and women over the age of 18 who are looking to recover from substance use issues, process addictions, and/or mental health issues.
The program is offered during the evening, allowing clients to remain at home throughout treatment and continue to meet family, school, or employment obligations.
As we treat addiction systemically, we invite loved ones to participate in the IOP by attending our Thursday evening Family Program. IOP clients and family members participate in an educational and skill building session that focuses on the creation of healthy relationships.
This is followed by the regular IOP group for clients, while partners, parents, adult siblings and important others have the option to participate in their own therapy group. Attendance in the Family Program is included in the IOP fee.
Design a personalized plan
Address your unique needs
The Intensive Outpatient experience begins with a thorough biopsychosocial assessment that informs our clinical recommendations for treatment.
This may include a recommendation for a higher level of care such as medical detoxification, as some substances require medical support to safely discontinue use.
Whatever level of care we recommend, we can take you through our suite of services to create a tailor-made plan that addresses your unique emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual needs.
Clients can access our comprehensive IOP as a stand-alone treatment plan, or add other services such as:
- Couple or family therapy
- Sex therapy
- Trauma-informed therapy
- Meditation instruction
- Mindfulness training
- Stress reduction
- Nutritional coaching
- Anger Management
What can I expect?
The IOP Group takes place over 12 weeks, and meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
The program length and intensity are designed to offer structure and support throughout the first three months of recovery. It is during this early recovery period that the neurological and emotional symptoms of post-acute withdrawal leave clients the most vulnerable to relapse.
Clients participate in group therapy, addressing early recovery issues such stabilization, relapse prevention, and effective coping skills. As clients progress, the group work focuses on the deeper issues that challenge recovery such as unresolved emotional pain, loss, depression, and low self-worth.
We also include a focus on life purpose/goals, social support, spirituality, and meaningful connection to self and others to help clients identify their personal motivators.
Our goal is for both clients and loved ones to leave the program with a clear understanding of the roots of their substance use or process addiction. We support client to know their strengths and inner resources, and develop a relevant plan for health, peace, and connection.
